Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift minimizes the creases that develop across the forehead or those that occur high on the bridge of the nose; improves what are commonly referred to as a frown lines; and repositions a low or sagging brow.

Low eyebrows can give you the effect of a depressed or tired look and may sometimes intensify wrinkles in the upper forehead area.

Younger adults who have a naturally low brow, or who already have deep frown lines due to stress or muscle over-activity may also benefit from a forehead lift. Sometimes, patients may focus their attention on excess skin in the upper eyelids and not realize that it is their sagging eyebrows that are the cause of the problem.

For better results our surgeon from the Schwarz Plastic Surgery Center could propose to combine a brow lift with a facelift or an eyelid surgery depending on your case.

Small incisions are made within the hairline which allows the possibility for covering the incision area with your hair afterwards. The skin is lifted at which point muscles can be tightened, some skin can be removed and the eyebrows can be repositioned.

Healing may take from 5 to 10 days, after which you can return to your normal activities. Although it may take several months for the incision lines to refine and fade.

With a healthy lifestyle and life-long sun protection (minimizing photo-aging and sun damage) your new rejuvenated youthful appearance will be long lasting.
